Main routes
Route 1: RUTA DE LAS CANTERAS
Access this trail from the MA-4403 road. With a length of 3.4 kilometres, this circular route allows you to explore Zone 1 of the OPUS Foundation lands. Shortcuts are available for a shorter walk.
Enjoy panoramic views of the ecological olive grove restoration and reforestation projects, which include nine different groves in the area. Explore old gypsum quarries and visit the viewpoint overlooking the Vega de Antequera. On this trail, it is common to spot birds of prey and several species of orchids.
Route 2: Ruta de LA LAGUNA
Access this path via the Gandía Party road, next to the Antequera golf course. With a length of 2 km and steep slopes, this route allows you to enjoy an ancient Mediterranean forest with centenary holm oaks. A shortcut is available for a more accessible walk.
Note the landscape restoration and natural adaptation of the old lagoon, an aquatic habitat for several species of birds and amphibians, all visible from the new bird observatory.
During the flowering season, you can see more than 5 species of orchids and spot rabbits and partridges.
From the viewpoint, enjoy a 360º panoramic view, from the Vega to the Torcal and the Peñón de los Enamorados.
Route 3: Ruta de la Magdalena
This 9.4 km circular route connects the convent of La Magdalena with the pine forest of El Hacho, the Atalaya Park and the Arquillas path. The route has some steep sections and a shortcut that cuts the route in half.
During migratory periods, you can see dozens of birds of prey, a herd of mountain goats, and mammals such as foxes and badgers. From the viewpoint, enjoy an impressive 360º panoramic view of the Vega de Antequera, the Torcal, the city of Antequera and the Peñón de los Enamorados. It is ideal for understanding the environmental importance of the landscape and appreciating the natural beauty of Antequera.

VIEWPOINTS AND HIDE
At the different viewpoints, you can enjoy breathtaking 360º panoramic views that allow you to contemplate the extraordinary beauty of the El Torcal Natural Park, the city of Antequera, the Peña de los Enamorados and the Vega de Antequera.
A bird observatory has been built in Antequera Entorno Natural, near the lagoon in Zone 2, so that you can rest and enjoy the landscape and the environmental restoration of the old irrigation lagoon. From there, you will be able to observe a great variety of species of water birds and frogs. The observatory is located on the route to the lagoon, very close to the car park.
